This may sound like an obvious guide, but not being a regular Mac user it took me a fair while to work out how to do batch resizing (or even single resize) of photos. So here are the steps:
- Open iPhoto.
- Select from the menu File > Import to Library.
- Select all photos you wish to import.
- Click Import.
- In iPhoto select all photos you wish to resize.
- Select from the menu File > Export.
- Select the Kind as JPEG.
- Set the JPEG Quality to High.
- Set the Size to Custom.
- Set your resize dimensions (e.g. by setting a maximum width or height).
- Optionally use the sequential filename settings if you want new filenames based on numbers or prefixes.
- Click Export.
- Choose your save location.
- Click OK.
